The Reluctant Fundamentalist : Mira Nair’s adaptation of the book by Mohsin Hamid starring Kate Hudson, Kiefer Sutherland and Riz Ahmed has had North American rights acquired by IFC Films.

No Place on Earth : Magnolia Pictures has obtained U.S. rights to the harrowing documentary from Janet Tobias about a Jewish family that hid in underground caves for nearly two years to evade Nazi capture.

How to Make Money Selling Drugs : The doc on drug dealing directed by Matthew Cooke, co-produced by Adrian Grenier (Entourage) and featuring interviews with rapper 50 Cent, Eminem, Susan Sarandon and Woody Harrelson will be released in U.S. theatres by Tribeca Films.

Casting By : HBO Documentary Films has acquired this documentary about essential but often overlooked casting directors. It features reminiscences from Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Diane Lane, Clint Eastwood, Glenn Close, Robert De Niro and John Travolta.

White Elephant : The Strand has nabbed U.S. distribution rights for this film about Buenos Aires drug cartels from director Pablo Trapero.

The End of Time : Canadian filmmaker Peter Mettler’s movie has been grabbed for the U.S. by First Run Features. It was picked up for Canada earlier by Mongrel Media.

7 Boxes : This Paraguayan action-thriller has been picked up for U.K. theatrical distribution by Arrow Films

Motorway : Arrow also picked up this Hong Kong action-thriller from director Soi Cheang for the U.K.
